Question: What type of dress do you wear to a wedding rehearsal if you are not part of the entourage?

I am going with my friend who is one of the groomsmen. I want to wear a cute summer dress like the following but don't want to overdue the bribe: www.wetseal.com/ catalog/ product.jsp?categoryId=104 &subCategoryId=189 &productId=21486 www.wetseal.com/ catalog/ product.jsp?categoryId=104 &subCategoryId=189 &productId=21587 www1.macys.com/ catalog/ product/ index.ognc?ID=357180 &CategoryID=24279 www1.macys.com/ catalog/ product/ index.ognc?ID=369033 &CategoryID=24279 The color motif of the wedding is brown and pink. Should I avoid these colors as well as white? Are any of the dresses ok to wear? |

Sorry to say this, but the links aren't working for me so I can't see what you posted. But I will try to answer you ... Is a dress appropriate for the rehearsal? My rehearsal is going to be very casual in a park, very picnic-y and a dress on any of the guests would make them totally over dressed. So my first suggestion would be to find out how fancy of an event it is going to be. I would recommend you avoid white, but any other color at the rehearsal would be fine. I would avoid brown & pink for the actual wedding, but for the rehearsal it wouldn't matter. |

You can wear the color that is being used in the wedding, but not white, you can be sexy and wear a sundress, but not too short, or revealing. |

I'm sure these dresses are all very pretty. You are correct that you should avoid white, and avoid brown and pink. |

Those links don't work. yes avoid any dress that's more than 50% white. so a print dress with white background can be iffy. I would avoid wearing brown or pink to the wedding because you don't want it to look like you're trying to be a bridesmaid. but you can wear either of those colors to the rehearsal dinner, because the bridesmaids aren't in their matching gowns then. stick with solid colors, not too short or low cut or sexy. |
