Wear a nice dress, have your husband-to-be dress up too. Doesn't mean you need to buy new things, but wear things that are nicer than your everyday clothes. If you have the money to go out to a restaurant afterwards with whoever you invite, that could be a fun celebration. If you have a friend with a bigger apartment, maybe ask if they can host a dessert party or something after the wedding. If you're looking to make the wedding itself to be more romantic and memorable, maybe scout out a few different city halls in the area and see which you like best? It'd be easy enough to get married a few towns away, rather than directly where you live, if they have a nicer setting. |

Well for one thing, try to arrange the best dress or other clothes that you can for yourself and the best thing you can arrange for the groom. Borrow something if necessary. You can get a low-priced bouquet of flowers at a grocery store. Have someone take pictures. If your friends and relatives ask what they could do, ask if someone could let you have a get-together at their place. Take any offers that come. Maybe someone can bake a cake. |

If possible, try to schedule your wedding ceremony about 3 - 4PM. After the ceremony, plan a dinner at a restaurant where you can reserve a small banquet room or private room. You may be able to order a small wedding cake through the restaurant or pick up a box of fancy cupcakes that day. To make things a little easier try to order the same dinner for all of your guests when you are reserving the room (for example: lasagna and salad or roast turkey with the trimmings) or have a choice of three dinners for your guests to choose from. And if you cannot afford to take a few people out to dinner then have soup, sandwiches, and wedding cake at your home (or someone's home that has the room). The soup and sandwiches can be made the day before or you can pick it up at a deli. Answered by: A Certified wedding specialist / A Professional bridal consultant / A Wedding ceremony officiant |
