Well, I don't know what your budget is. What some people consider a low budget might be a high budget to someone else and visa versa If you are getting married in a hotel, country club, catering hall, etc., get your wedding cake from either them or one of their preferred vendors. Otherwise, this may mean a cake-cutting fee, where the venue will decorate the plate, maybe add a chocolate-covered strawberry, etc., for an extra $5 a plate. This adds up quick If you're wanting to go to a resort hotel for your wedding... don't. I worked in this field for a while... don't do it. If you want this type of setting, I suggest going to a catering hall or a country club with a similar setting (whether it be beach, garden, urban, etc). You will save yourself thousands and thousands of dollars on room rental fees, catering, etc. Use banquet chairs already provided, if this is an option... avoid using chiviari chairs. A lot of the time, they can cost extra (up to $35 a person, being cheap), they aren't comfortable, they break. They just look nicer, but I don't really think it's worth the cost. If where you are getting married already has ceremony/ banquet chairs, use them For things like linens, favors, or decorations, you would put crafting skills to work, or you could even shop around on Etsy. I have found really decently priced table linens on Etsy before, as an example. Then again, a lot of these things could still be really, really expensive for a lot of people. What's the general range that you're willing to spend on certain things? Food? Linens? Flowers? |
